General Terms and Conditions for Visiting Absurdia – Museum of Illusions
1. Introductory Provisions
These contractual terms govern the relationship between:

and the customer during visits to the Absurdia Museum of Illusions, unless otherwise agreed in a specific case.
2. Definitions
2.1. Absurdia is the operator of the Museum of Illusions and the provider of museum visit services to customers. Companies operating under the Absurdia brand at specific locations are listed at www.absurdia.cz.
3. Contract Formation
3.1. The parties to the contract are Absurdia and the customer who purchased a ticket or voucher for a museum visit.
3.2. Absurdia agrees to enable the customer to experience the unique concept of the Museum of Illusions. The customer agrees to pay the agreed price for the visit.
3.3. The contract is concluded either:
– by paying the ticket price at the Absurdia ticket counter prior to entry, or
– online via the website https://absurdia.cz (the “online store”) at the time of full payment by credit card.
3.4. For contracts concluded online, the customer will receive a voucher valid for at least six months.
3.5. For contracts concluded at the ticket counter, the customer receives a ticket valid on the day of purchase.
3.6. The contract includes: (i) proof of payment, (ii) the offer displayed at www.absurdia.cz or in promotional materials, and, (iii) these general terms and conditions, provided the customer received or became acquainted with them before the contract was concluded.
4. Service Prices and Payment Terms
4.1. Service prices in CZK are listed at www.absurdia.cz or at each Absurdia location.
4.2. When paying by credit card, the final price including VAT, discounts, or surcharges is displayed during the online booking process before the contract is concluded.
4.3. All information on www.absurdia.cz is for informational purposes only and Absurdia reserves the right to modify it.
4.4. Discounts cannot be combined unless expressly agreed otherwise.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1. Tickets purchased at the ticket counter are non-refundable and cannot be canceled prior to the service being rendered.
5.2. Vouchers purchased online may be canceled without providing a reason within 14 days. The customer must return the voucher along with the cancellation notice.
5.3. If the customer decides not to use a voucher purchased online, they may request an extension or refund within one month after its expiration by emailing info
absurdia [emailtecka] cz. In such cases, the voucher with the QR code must be returned.
5.4. Refunds will be issued to the account specified in the cancellation notice. If no account is provided, the refund will be sent to the account from which the payment was originally made.
5.5. If the museum is closed due to official regulations (e.g., public restrictions), the validity of the voucher will automatically be extended by six months. This does not apply in the case of planned closures (e.g., renovations or seasonal breaks) if such closures were announced on www.absurdia.cz at the time of purchase.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1. Customers must follow staff instructions throughout their visit and must not intentionally damage exhibits, equipment, or the interior.
6.2. Customers must behave respectfully toward other visitors: avoid loud or disruptive behavior, and do not occupy excessive space (e.g., for photography) beyond what is needed for a regular visit.
6.3. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the museum.
6.4. Pets are only allowed if fully controlled by the owner (e.g., in arms or a pet carrier). Free roaming of animals is prohibited.
7. Complaint Procedure
7.1. If the service is defective, the customer must report the issue without undue delay, ideally during or immediately after the visit, at the ticket counter or via email at info
absurdia [emailtecka] cz. The customer must state the nature of the issue and the desired compensation.
7.2. Absurdia will provide a written acknowledgment of the complaint. A decision will be made immediately or, in complex cases, within 3 business days, but no later than 30 days. The decision will be sent to the customer's contact email or address stated in the complaint form.
8. Personal Data Protection
8.1. The customer agrees that Absurdia may process their personal data (such as name, email, and card information) for the purpose of fulfilling the contract and legal obligations.
8.2. These terms also apply to individuals for whom the customer concluded the contract.
8.3. The customer acknowledges the following rights regarding their data:
- Right to access personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate/incomplete data
- Right to erasure
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7)
9. Final Provisions
9.1. Any matters not covered by these terms are governed by Czech law, especially Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code.
9.2. The customer may resolve disputes out of court via the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, www.coi.cz.
9.3. Customers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
9.4. Czech law governs any disputes, and Czech courts have jurisdiction.
These General Terms and Conditions are valid and effective for contracts concluded from 27 June 2025.
